David Wilhoite, PT graduated from UAB School of Physical Therapy in 1973.

Originally from Chattnooga, TN, Mr. W. and his family have made their home in Anniston for the last 40 years.

In the course of his career, he developed PT services for Lakeshore Hospital in Birmingham, University of Alabama Tuscaloosa Health Services and Men and Womens Athletic Departments, RMC, GSNF, and a home health agency, before setting on a course of private practice in Piedmont, AL.

Mr. W. opened the doors of Wilhoite Physical Therapy, on Leighton Avenue, in 1985, and in 2000, he expanded to Oxford and opened a second location on Snow Street.

Today, Mr. W. treats patients in our Oxford clinic, and after 35 years in private practice he still loves “meeting new patients and giving compassionate care wrapped in a family atmosphere.”

He is a member of the APTA (Alabama Physical Therapy Association) and is active in the private practice, geriatrics, orthopedic/sports medicine, and aquatic sections of the Association.

Mr. W. enjoyed 35 years of officiating football and is currently active with Amateur Radio, Kiwanis Club of Anniston, and photography. He is a deacon at Golden Springs Baptist Church, and says he is thankful to God for the blessing of service to others and for his wonderful lifemate, Peggy.
